AngE™ Phlebo

AngE™ Phlebo

AngE™ Phlebo is a PPG sensor system that combines venous and arterial assessments in a single mobile unit. Operating with 2-channel D-PPG/LRR technology, it enables a wide range of measurements, from venous function tests to arterial circulation analysis, all within one platform. Its portable design, USB connectivity, and advanced software infrastructure provide both practical and comprehensive use.

General Features

AngE™ Phlebo performs simultaneous venous function measurements using 2-channel D-PPG/LRR technology with two IR sensors. The system can be supported with tourniquet cuffs to enhance venous evaluations.

The device operates by connecting to a USB port on a macOS or Windows computer. Once the software is launched, tests can be initiated quickly.

Its advanced software infrastructure supports clinical workflows with features such as patient management, measurement analysis, comparative evaluation, and DICOM/HL7 integration.

Integrated temperature probes in both sensors detect the patient’s skin temperature during testing and provide comparative data.

Venous Function Assessment

AngE™ Phlebo performs measurements to evaluate venous function and analyze venous valve insufficiency. With its dual-sensor design, measurements can be conducted simultaneously.

The system automatically calculates key parameters to support rapid assessment of venous valve insufficiency.

Automatically calculated parameters include:

  • Pump Volume (V0)
  • Venous Fill Time (T0)
  • Venous Half-Life Time (T50)

These results are presented using a simple traffic light display to support quick interpretation.

By using manual tourniquet cuffs, superficial and deep venous problems can be quickly differentiated.

To evaluate muscle pump function, measurements can also be performed while the patient is walking. This allows not only static but also dynamic functional changes to be assessed.

Arterial Assessment

AngE™ Phlebo enables evaluation of multiple arterial and venous parameters within a single mobile system.

Supported measurements include:

  • ABI
  • TBI
  • Toe Pressure
  • PWV

With the built-in comparison tool, results before and after provocation during exercise stress tests can be compared. This feature makes it easier to detect differences that occur after exertion.

The software allows direct comparison of pre- and post-intervention measurements, enabling clearer evaluation of clinical changes.

Microcirculation and Optical Pulse Oscillography

AngE™ Phlebo evaluates microcirculation by performing Optical Pulse Oscillography (OPO) and Photoplethysmography (PPG) measurements on fingers and toes. This approach enables analysis of arterial microcirculatory blood flow.

This feature helps improve the assessment of arterial circulation disorders.

It allows fast and practical evaluation of peripheral circulation in applications such as Raynaud’s syndrome studies, toe pressure measurements, and TOS (Thoracic Outlet Syndrome) assessments.

Software and Integration

The software provided with AngE™ Phlebo includes comprehensive tools for managing patient records, analyzing measurements, and performing comparative evaluations.

Its compatibility with DICOM and HL7 ensures easy integration into existing clinical workflows.
